Policy on Face Masks

Policy on Face Masks

As of July 23, 2023

In response to Proclamation No. 297 on the Lifting of the State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines due to Covid-19, Philippine Airlines welcomes the lifting of the mask mandate and other Covid protocols, giving our passengers the flexibility of choice.

Despite the removal of existing COVID-19 protocols, we will continue to observe safety procedures such as disinfection of aircraft surfaces after every flight and the use of HEPA filters and an advanced air flow system inside the aircraft cabin to help mitigate any potential health risks.

Passengers may still bring their own face masks to use at the airport and throughout the flight.

We still recommend continuing to bring a mask with you throughout your travel as it may be required for some destinations based on their laws and requirements. For Philippine Airlines codeshare flights, please check with our partner carriers their respective mask policies.

Mask Wearing for Sick Persons

Passengers who are sick but must travel are highly recommended to wear face masks. This is to ensure a healthy, safe, and comfortable environment for all passengers and reduce the risk of spreading communicable diseases during air travel.
